The bathroom of this residence in Kabataş, Istanbul, was redesigned and carried through to implementation to make everyday life easier for its older users.
The layout was arranged with wheelchair mobility and safe use in mind. A seat and grab bars in the shower area were among the solutions that support the bathroom’s use. White marble-look surfaces, gold-toned details, and warm lighting bring the interior together as a cohesive whole.
As part of the renovation, the clean- and waste-water plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, and waterproofing were renewed; ceramic finishes, sanitary fixtures, and bathroom furniture were reconsidered.
Macro Mimarlık undertook the project’s design, technical development, and implementation, managing the process as an integrated whole.
